History
As a young boy our CEO Geofrey was already disturbed by the littering that occurs everywhere in Kwale. As an adult he decided to start a small business of waste collection in Ukunda. Many years later the business has expanded to all forms of waste management, including exhaust services and recycling.
Aiming at transforming the mentality of people and the realisation of a cleaner Kwale we started the Green Academy, creating awareness for the current and the next generation so we can all look towards a future that is cleaner and greener.
Vision
Demure Ecopure does not limit itself to just collecting waste. It also strives to reduce the ecological footprint of Kenyans in our country.
The ecological footprint is any action we undertake that changes in any way the natural order of our planet. Waste and what we do with it is a major chunk of this footprint, but not the only thing. Living with a minimal footprint is a way of life that need a lot of education most of us currently have not.
We therefor look on the longer term with our Green Academy to teach a whole generation of Kenyans what it means to live in a modern life but still be able to have a moderate footprint that allows our planet to continue live rather than slowly dying.
Just to be clear we are not at all anti-modern, hippies-like dreamers who wants you to go back to the fields and grow crops. Rather we advocate for all the things you can do to embrace a modern life in a healthy environment for you and your children.
